Leadership

Nova Muixeranga association is organized in two areas, a Technical Area led by the Mestre (means Master in Catalan) and a Board of Directors led by the President. Both departments are elected by the sovereign body of the Nova Muixeranga, the Assembly. On one hand, the Technical Area elections are every two years and is voted in a closed list system. On the other hand, the Board of Directors is also elected every two years but it is voted in a open list system.

Technical Area is made up of the following posts: Mestre, Mestre Assistant, Tronc Coordinator, Pinya Coordinator and Children Coordinator. Any muixeranguer, being up to date with the membership fees, can aspire to any position. Besides, a two year old membership and a year of experience in any other post of the Technical Area are also required for being Mestre. Are commitments of this area to execute the human towers, to date trainings, to watch over the security...

Board of Directors is at least composed of the following positions: President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer and three Members more. In addition, can exist more Members. The Mestre has also the right to vote in Board of Directors decisions. The President hasn't a casting vote for breaking the deadlock, so the amount of people that forms the Board of Directors is always an odd number. Any muixeranguer, being up to date with the membership fees, can aspire to any position of this area. Are commitments of the Board of Directors to ensure the proper functioning of the association, to manage goods, to promote social activities...
