Our dress consists of a shirt and a pair of trousers with red, green and white vertical stripes, with a harlequinade layout. Its material imitates that one used in old valencian mattresses at the very beginning of the 20th century. The shirt has buttons and a patch of red felt sewn at the shoulders.

Accessories of the dress are:

• The hat, biretta with the same strips as the dress and a sort of lateral ears.
• The back belt, red or green and sometimes black.
• Shoes, white or with any colour of the dress.

About the origins of this dress, a valencian ethnography called Maximilià Thous wrote around 1930 that it was a reproduction of the Mad Dress, inspired by the zarzuela called Jugar con fuego. In this play the inmates of an asylum are dressed in the same way that muixeranguers.
